Deployment
backpack
Utilizing the backpacks I co-designed with Professor Patrick Rhodes, inspired by World War II radio backpacks, we facilitated the transportation of the Neonomads structure to a government protected site inaccessible by vehicles. The two-mile walk from the gate took half an hour, made significantly easier by the custom-designed backpacks. These backpacks, fabricated by me from aluminum, canvas, and nylon webbing, marked my initial venture into industrial design within an architectural context. On-site installation spanned three days, adhering to strict hours to ensure a return before sunset due to the absence of electricity and public lighting in the area.
